Toiletry Program

The Toiletry program is an ongoing service.  We are accepting donations of toiletry products.  In addition to year round support of shelters and job programs, at the end of the year club members focus on a holiday theme--making holiday baskets and adopting families in need.  Thank you everyone for helping out. Other themes during the year include Easter and Mother’s Day. Contact Carol Stewart

Toiletry Collection
Please help us collect new toiletry items for Women In Transition.  We will be putting together gift bags of new toiletry items for women at Hope House, Elsa Segovia Center and Career Closet.  Needed items include: Shampoo, Conditioner, Lotion, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Brush/Combs and

Make-up samples. All sizes are accepted.  Bring items to the Thursday a.m. meetings or contact Carol Stewart.

Pictured are a few of the items that may be included in a typical gift bag:

  • Shampoo
  • Conditioner
  • Skin Lotion
  • Lipstick
  • Hairbrush
  • Toothbrush
  • Toothpaste
  • Razors
  • Soap

Make-up samples and full sizes welcome.  We also need gift bags and have had requests for flip-flops (open toed slippers for wearing in the shower.) Our goal is 1,000 bags for the year.

Thank You From Hope House

This is just a sample of some of the letters we received from the women at Hope House in response to our Toiletry and Holiday Adopt a Family Program:

“Let me start by saying how thankful and grateful I am to Kiwanis. You made Christmas possible for me and my children.  Thank you for all the beautiful gifts for the kids and also the bag of wonderful things for myself.  I thank you deeply, words can’t express my gratitude. God Bless you all.”

“Dear Kiwanis Club Members, Thank you so much for the gifts that you gave me on Christmas.  It was very nice to have something to open up. I am beyond grateful for the thought and time you took for me.”

“Dear Kiwanis Club Members.  Thank You so very much for all of the beautiful presents you gave my 2 little girls. You all are truly angels on earth.  God Bless all of you. Please have a safe and happy new year.

“Dear Kiwanians, I want to personally thank you for your time.  You’ve made a difference in my life. Your gifts were welcomed and appreciated.”

“Dear Kiwanis Club Members,  I appreciate all of the gifts you have given to my fellow sisters in recovery.  You have really made their Christmas wishes come true.  Now that’s what I call love from an angel.”
